Forbes published a column by Greg Luken [Luken] about how financial advisors have to stop treating risk as if it is static. 

Awards & Recognition

The Nashville Business Journal released its list of the largest financial planners in Nashville ranked by total local investment assets. Capital Financial Group/Continuum Planning Partners made the list at number 21, of which Timothy Sinks [Full Circle Disposal] is CEO. 

The Nashville Ledger and reported that the Urban Land Institute Nashville recognized several local projects with Excellence in Development Awards: 

  • Eakin Partners [Barry Smith], part of the project team for 225 Polk Avenue, which won in the Small Private Sector. 
  • Smith Gee Studio [Hunter Gee], part of the project team for Kirkpatrick Park, which won in the Large Public Sector.
  • Dragon Park venue Clementine Hall [Dan Cook] won in the Small Private Sector. Steelhead Building Group [Kyle Armstrong] was also part of the project team. 

Strategic Hospitality’s [Benjamin & Max Goldberg] restaurant The Patterson House was listed by The Bourbon Review as one of America’s Best Bourbon Bars in the South Region for 2020. The Nashville Business Journal also reported the news.

In the News

The Tribune Chronicle and the Vindicator reported that Ohio congressman Tim Ryan paid CounterPoint Messaging [John Rowley] to produce commercials and buy time on television and social media.

Erin Richardson [All-American Pest Control Inc.] was listed in Pest Management Professional for speaking on the panel for the National Pest Management Association's virtual event series.

Advance Financial [Michael Hodges] executives, including CFO Patrick Conroy and CEO TIna Hodges, are listed as officers of Tennessee Action 24/7, a new sports betting company which has received conditional approval to accept wagers in November, as reported by the Nashville Post

Eater Nashville mentioned Strategic Hospitality’s [Benjamin & Max Goldberg] restaurant Locust as one anticipated opening in the Nashville dining scene. 

The Nashville Business Journal asked local executives the biggest question facing Nashville as it starts a new decade, quoting Hunter Gee [Smith Gee Studio] and Eakin Partners [Barry Smith] chairman and co-founder John Eakin.

Hardaway Construction [David Frazier] is the contractor of an apartment complex planned for North Nashville, according to the Nashville Business Journal.

The CEO of Zander Insurance [Shervin Eftekhari] was quoted in a Forbes article about insurance needed for micro-mobility. He was also quoted in a separate Forbes column about how public adjusters help you nail homeowners insurance claims. 

Tyler Cauble [The Cauble Group] is planning a food and beverage project for a car wash property in East Nashville, which he has under contract with owner Bristol Development Group [Ashlyn Hines], according to the Nashville Post.

Commercial Property Executive, REBusinessOnline and Williamson Source reported that Bell & Associates [Darek Bell] constructed the downtown Nashville Grand Hyatt.
