Awards/Professional Recognition:

The Nashville Business Journal announced the winners of its 40 Under 40 award for 2018. The following EO Nashville members were included:

Benjamin Goldberg and Max Goldberg [Strategic Hospitality] were mentioned in the Nashville Scene and the Tennessean for being named “Outstanding Restaurateur” semifinalists in the 2018 James Beard Awards. Henrietta Red was also named a semifinalist for “Best New Restaurant,” and Bastion chef Josh Habiger was named a semifinalist for “Best Chef in the Southeast.”

Maryville Daily Times gave details of Andy Bailey’s [Petra Coach] upcoming speaking engagement with the Knoxville EO chapter on “scaling up business.”

Advance Financial [Michael Hodges] was featured in an article on WJLE-AM Smithville Online for the grand opening of their new store in Smithville and for their donation to the Dekalb County 4-H.

Jeff Bradford [the Bradford Group] was featured in a podcast by Home Business TV about gaining publicity through “newsjacking.”

The Nashville Post mentioned Darek Bell [Corsair Distillery] as the owner of the Wedgewood-Houston building on Houston Street, which will house the new craft beer production facility for Jackalope Brewing Co.

Charles Robert Bone [Bone McAllester Norton] was mentioned in Nashville Post for his donation to support Bob Freeman in the race to replace House Speaker Beth Harwell.

Only In Your State published a feature on Batter’d and Fried Boston Seafood House [Matthew Charette], including a review of some of its menu items.

Trojan Labor [Jolene Dressel] was mentioned in Clarksville Now for participating in the upcoming job fair at Goodwill Career Solutions in Clarksville.

The CEO of the Nashville Soccer Club [Christopher Redhage] was quoted in an article on NewsChannel 5 to hype up Saturday’s exhibition match at First Tennessee Park. The club’s head coach also spoke about Saturday’s game in an article on WKRN.com. The Tennessean offered a replay of the club’s debut game. Dirty South Soccer recapped the results of the game. WKRN.com talked about the fact that fans came out to see the club play despite the rain, and Nashville Pride touted the sold out crowd for the game. Another NewsChannel 5 article, the Williamson source, the Nashville Business Journal, the Nashville Post and Clarksville Now announced that the club’s home opener will be moved to Nissan Stadium. IOM Today featured a player for his debut with the club. A Tennessean article announced that the club will play an exhibition game against Lipscomb. Fox17 News announced that the club’s games will be broadcast on MyTV30. The Nashville Scene announced the club’s “Pub Partners” program with notable partners, such as Von Elrod’s Beer Garden & Sausage House and M.L. Rose Craft Beer and Burgers [Austin Ray].

Riggs Davie PLC [Casey Riggs] was mentioned in the Nashville Ledger in a Valentine’s Day article about how Davie met his wife.

The Decatur Daily mentioned that Landscape Services Inc. [Doug Stacey] was contracted to maintain the grounds of the Decatur City and Huntsville City Schools.

Benjamin Goldberg [Strategic Hospitality] was featured in the Nashville Business Journal as a panelist for the upcoming Next Gen event.
