Music City Miracles included Max and Ben Goldberg’s restaurants The Patterson House, Catbird Seat, Pinewood Social, Merchants, Henrietta Red, the Band Box and Downtown Sporting Club [Strategic Hospitality] in its article about a visitors guide to enjoying the NFL Draft in Nashville. M.L. Rose and Sutler Saloon [Austin Ray] were also mentioned in the roundup.

Ben and Max Goldberg [Strategic Hospitality] opened their newest venture, Downtown Sporting Club, as reported by Lonely Planet, Nashville Business Journal, Nashville Eater, and News Channel 5, the Tennessean and the Wall Street Journal. These articles also mentioned several of their other restaurants including Patterson House, Catbird Seat, Henrietta Red, Pinewood Social and Bastion. Another Nashville Business Journal article included an inside look into Downtown Sporting Club, and the Tennessean also included the restaurant/lodging/ax-throwing combination space in its The Dose section. Henrietta Red was mentioned in a StyleBlueprint article and a Nashville Scene article.

Smith Gee Studio [Hunter Gee] was mentioned in a Nashville Post article as the designer of a new condo building in East Nashville.

Smart Cities World featured Hytch [Robert Hartline] in its article about reducing carbon emissions with a new rewards platform.

Senator Amy Klobuchar spoke at Edley’s Bar-B-Que [Will Newman] during her stop in Nashville, as reported by the Garden Island and the Post Bulletin. The restaurant was also featured in Music City Miracle’s roundup of top places visitors can enjoy the NFL draft.



EO Member Spotlight

Nathan Brandon

Pure Green LLC

Nathan Brandon grew up in Nashville and has been in the lawn business since the age of 12 when he first began taking care of neighbor’s lawns. He spent many years as a partner in an award-winning lawn and landscape management company. In 2013 he decided to go out on his own and focus on simply providing “Great Green Grass.” Since starting Pure Green, he has been featured in several industry publications focusing on his organic approach to lawn care. There is no lawn issue he has not seen. As a native Nashvillian, he is very knowledgeable in how to best deal with the conditions specific to Middle Tennessee’s climate and soil. Nathan has been involved with EO for the last 15 years and lives in Franklin with his wife, two kids and his dog.

What is a personal piece of advice (business advice/saying/quote) that you lean on and could pass on to others?

Never sacrifice the permanent on the altar of the immediate.

Best business book you’ve ever read?

“Built to Sell” or “Profit First”

One misstep you took in your business that you could caution others about?

 Placing too much trust in my former business partner. 

How do you de-stress after a particularly hard day?

I like spending time outside whether it is working, running, hunting, or fishing.

What EO event are you most looking forward to attending in the next few months?

Freak Factor and Nerve in Charleston.

What’s something about you that would surprise everyone reading this?

I am a native Nashvillian.

Any exciting plans for summer that you would like to share?   

My wife and I are taking a trip to Jamaica this summer without the kids.
