Three Things for EO Nashville This Week

1. Scaling Up Cash Master Class with Alan Miltz and Greg Crabtree 
November 7, 2018- 7:30am-10:45am, Wellspire, 907 Gleaves Street

Are you regularly asking the tough questions to drive business performance, such as... do you have the right people in the right seats doing the right things? The ‘Scaling Up Cash Master Class’ is a great place to put your complete cash strategy in order, From profitability to cash flow to true wealth creation. Greg Crabtree and Alan Miltz were the core contributors to the cash section of Verne Harnish’s book ‘Scaling Up’ and they will present an expanded process to applying the principles in the book. They will help you to implement the concepts to scale your business to its full potential.

The schedule for the morning will run as follows:

8:00 am- 90 minute joint keynote presentation
9:30 am- 15 minute break
9:45 am- 60 minute workshop for those able to stay

The Nashville Post shared the news that Advance Financial [Mike Hodges] won two Golden Bridge Awards; a Gold for “Woman Executive of the Year” (for Tina Hodges) and Silver for “Fastest Growing Company of the Year.”

Vice president and executive producer for music videos at Taillight TV [Tom Forrest] was recognized in the Nashville Business Journal’s 2018 Women in Music City Awards.

In the News:

BerniePortal [Alex Tolbert] was given an “excellent” rating, receiving 4 out of 5 stars in a PC Mag review. Bernard Health was mentioned in a Kiplinger article about how to get the best individual health policy in 2019.

Nashville PRIDE featured Advance Financial [Mike Hodges] for its $25,025 donation to Best Buddies of Tennessee.

The Nashville Post wrote an article about Nashville-based company GameWisp, whose team often works out of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center [Michael Brody-Waite].

The Tennessean wrote an article about the opening of the Green Pheasant [Patrick Burke] in SoBro this week.

DWC Construction Co. Inc. [John Arndt] was referenced in a Nashville Post article for handling the renovation of downtown’s SunTrust Bank offices.

The Tennessean featured a rave review of Austin Ray’s [A. Ray Hospitality] new Rambler Cocktail Bar under The Sutler. A StyleBlueprint article asked a chef at Von Elrod’s Beer Garden & Sausage House to share his favorite Halloween candy.   

Charles Robert Bone [Bone McAllester Norton] was interviewed in a Nashville Business Journal article for his new position as the chairman of the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency. The Nashville Post also wrote an article about his new position.

A BlueRidgeNow article featured an owner of a Showhomes [Bert Lyles] franchise and her journey to opening the franchise.

Jeff Bradford [the Bradford Group] was quoted in a Forbes article about how to build long-lasting relationships with customers.

Nashville Lifestyles released photos of Zander Insurance’s [Shervin Eftekhari] employee event celebrating the winner of the company’s annual scholarship contest for high school seniors.

Paradigm Group [Bob Levy] was featured in the Nashville Business Journal, the Nashville Post and Consulting.us about OneDigital Health and Benefits’ recent acquisition of the company.

The Nashville Post mentioned Smith Gee Studio [Hunter Gee] in an article about a mixed-use building that may built on Hermitage Ave.

The Birmingham Business Journal and AL.com listed Ashlyn Hines Meneguzzi [Bristol Development Group] as a new leader on the Birmingham-Southern College board of trustees. Juel Salon [Johnna Rightmyer] was also referenced in the article, as Meneguzzi is a co-owner.

Strategic Hospitality [Benjamin and Max Goldberg] was referenced in a Knoxville News Sentinel piece about the James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour, which will make a stop in Knoxville on November 1. Patterson House and Bastion were listed in an Eater Nashville article about the best places to drink cocktails in Music City. The Nashville Scene also mentioned Bastion in an article about a new coffee lounge opening in Wedgewood-Houston. Merchants was recommended as a place to eat in Nashville in an Arkansas Democrat Gazette article. The Nashville Business Journal penned an article about a new local axe-throwing bar which mentioned the Downtown Sporting Club.

Representative Mike Sparks’ gives his opinion on Nashville’s traffic crisis in a Newsman article, in which he offers Hytch [Robert Hartline] as a viable solution.

The owners of Pancho & Lefty’s Cantina [Will Newman] have received a permit to open a second location in Sylvan Park, as reported in the Nashville Post.

The Brentwood Home Page mentioned Scarlett Hotel Group [Andrew Scarlett] in an article about the Council on Aging’s Sage Awards, which honored the current vice chairman of the company and his wife for their philanthropic work with the Scarlett Family Foundation.

Financial Advisor IQ quoted Greg Luken [Luken Investment Analytics] in an article about how investors can avoid hidden contagion risks. Luken also appeared in a Reuters broadcast interview about the benefits of investing in international markets.

Core10 [Lee Farabaugh] was featured in a Fast Company article about West Virginia’s new training and job-placement program connecting young West Virginians with careers in technology.
