American Banker mentioned Advance Financial’s formal request to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regarding its new payday lending rule. The Tennessee Tribune, the Paris Post-Intelligencer and Enjoy Travelling announced the opening of Advance Financial’s newest location in Paris, Tenn. Broadway World mentioned the company as a sponsor of Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville.  

Bell & Associates [Darek Bell] will handle the construction of Amazon’s Tower 1 at Nashville Yards, according to the Nashville Post

Commercial Property Executive featured Nashville’s efforts to match the city’s infrastructure with its booming growth and highlighted Mark Deutschmann’s [Core Development Services] work to reshape Nashville’s urban core with adaptive reuse and multifamily developments. The article also quoted Robert Frist Jr., cofounder of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center [Michael Brody-Waite]

Fox 17 featured Boston Commons [Matthew Charette] recent design changes, which included changing its name from Batter’d & Fried, updating the interior and exterior and adding a beer garden, to better appeal to Nashville’s growing tourism. 

Medalogix [Dan Hogan] President and CEO Elliott Wood was mentioned by the Nashville Post for being a panelist during a discussion with Nashville’s high-growth health tech executives at City Winery. Elevation Search Solutions [Brian Hoppes] and Virsys12 [Tammy Hawes] were listed as sponsors of the event.

Jeff McCorpin [LBMC Technology Solutions] was referenced in the Tennessean as one of the executive hosts of Traveling Tech Day, a day where local students converse face-to-face with CEOs and tech experts.  

The Nashville Business Journal announced that Wellview Health [James Story] secured a deal with Chick-fil-A to provide healthcare engagement services to the company’s corporate employees. 

The Tennessean featured Cormac Dooley, the first-ever eMLS (Major League Soccer’s eSports league) gamer for the Nashville Soccer Club [Christopher Redhage]. The Tennessean and the Nashville Post reported that the Nashville Soccer Club won its first USL playoff match at home Saturday. The club’s advancement to the USL Eastern Conference semifinals was also announced by the Tennessean.

Eakin Partners [Barry Smith] broker Brian Jernigan was mentioned by the Nashville Post for handling the marketing and sale of the Rutledge Hill project.  

News Channel 5 and the Tennessean listed things to do in town this weekend and included Nashvember, a fair to support local products and businesses, presented by Project 615 [Derek Evans].

Hardaway Construction [David Frazier] was mentioned in the Nashville Post as the contractor for Eastside Heights, an East Nashville mixed-use development that recently sold. 

The Nashville Post mentioned that Smith Gee Studio [Hunter Gee] is the architect on a 27-story mixed-use building being eyed for Midtown. A project manager at Smith Gee Studio was quoted in a Community Impact Newspaper article about a new Metro Nashville project to consolidate rules for neighborhood conservation zoning. 

Bristol Development Group [Ashlyn Hines] will redevelop a downtown Knoxville property at the former site of the Tennessee Supreme Court building, according to WATE.com.

Forbes listed the best ways to spend a weekend in Nashville and included The Patterson House, The Catbird Seat and Henrietta Red [Ben and Max Goldberg]. Jazziz also mentioned The Catbird Seat as a place to eat during a trip to Nashville. The Nashville Scene featured a new local restaurant and its chef, who came up through The Catbird Seat and Bastion

The director of communications and project manager at Pfeffer Torode Architecture [James Pfeffer] was quoted in the Nashville Ledger about an upcoming panel that will discuss the future of Nashville at Nashville Design Week. 
 

Strategic Alliance Partnership News

First Tennessee Bank rebranded as First Horizon Bank on October 25, and the Tennessean featured a video of building sign changes being made in Nashville and other markets. Other outlets that covered the rebranding include the Nashville Post and Community Impact Newspaper. The bank's recent appointment of Rob D. Malin to First Horizon's expanded Nashville trust division was mentioned in the Nashville Ledger and the Nashville Business Journal.
