Things are obviously difficult, and our business has seen a drastic change in consumer behavior. But we are in the essential services sector of both the Transportation and Housing Industries – so we are just blessed to be able to work. My service is not a work-at-home type of gig, so contradictory to a lot of folks at home, I have been at work probably more than I ever have in the past.  

Our project load is a lot less than what it would be, of course, but my team is hanging in there. I've got 27 employees, so just trying to be supportive to them.

I know things are getting weird out there! But we will make it through this... Lord knows, I would be lost without EO.

I have never felt more prepared professionally for something like this to happen. I mean if this would have happened a few years ago – I am certain this business wouldn't be making it through this environment.

I am so lucky to be a part of EO. 

A lot of my toolbox or network is from our EO chapter here in Nashville. My EO forum has been on point too, and Zoom is just fine. 

I know the EO Nashville staff has been in crisis mode for quite some time, and I just can't thank them enough for what they are doing for our business community. The impact trickles down to real lives and jobs being salvaged, so on behalf of our Forum and everyone at my organization – I thank them for everything they have been doing for us.  

In the meantime, we'll be fighting the good fight over here in Berry Hill.

First Horizon Bank was named one of the 2020 Best Companies for Multicultural Women by Working Mother magazine, according to Clarksville Online and FranklinIs. The honor recognizes companies that create and use best practices in hiring, retaining and promoting multicultural women in the United States. The Tennessean published a guest column in its Sunday, May 24 print edition about how Paycheck Protection Loans (PPP) are keeping newspapers afloat, mentioning how fortunate the Tennessee Press Association was to have First Horizon Bank guide them through the process.
