The Nashville Business Journal announced its inaugural Employee of the Year award winners, which included Jack Zuban of Bernard Health [Alex Tolbert], Ted Wheeler of Concept Technology Inc. [James Fields] and Jonathan Kilton of NovaCopy [Darren Metz].

The Nashville Business Journal and the Nashville Post featured results from the recent EO Nashville survey about EO members’ reactions to Mayor Megan Berry’s planned $5.2 billion mass-transit overhaul.

Newsday featured a quote from Alex Tolbert [BerniePortal] about reviewing your current health plan before signing up for a cheaper one.

The Times Free Press mentioned the upcoming opening of a new Advance Financial [Mike Hodges] location in Collegedale.

Charles Robert Bone [Bone McAllester Norton] was quoted in the Tennessean and WBIR about Phil Bredesen’s sudden interest in running for U.S. Senate.

Two Ten Jack [Patrick Burke] was featured in the Tennessean, the Nashville Business Journal, the Nashville Post and Eater Nashville for planning to open a new concept in SoBro’s 222 building.  

The Tennessean quoted a representative of Eakin Partners [Barry Smith] regarding the company’s acquisition of a business park in South Nashville, where it plans to build a new office building.

Dan’s Gourmet Mac & Cheese [Dan Stephenson] was included in Nashville Guru’s list of top food trucks in Nashville.

The Nashville Business Journal quoted a representative of Taillight TV [Tom Forrest] about the late Lula Naff as she received the inaugural award named after her, the Lula Naff Ryman Trailblazer Award.

K. Clay Haynes [Oak Tree Partners] was quoted in the Gallatin News about the company’s plans for the Langley Estates home development in Gallatin.

GQ Magazine mentioned Henrietta Red, the Patterson House and the Catbird Seat [Ben Goldberg and Max Goldberg] in an article about the secrets to a great bloody Mary. Henrietta Red was mentioned in an 11Alive story for opening earlier this year. The Nashville Scene announced that there will be a meet-and-greet with the authors of The Southern Foodways Alliance Guide to Cocktails at Bastion this weekend.

Eater Nashville included Von Elrod’s Beer Garden and Sausage House [Austin Ray] in its monthly roundup of Nashville’s hottest new restaurants.

A representative from Nashville Soccer Club [Christopher Redhage] was quoted in a Tennessean story about competition for a possible Major League Soccer team.

A member of Hytch [Robert Hartline] was mentioned in the Williamson Source for speaking to a class from the Transit Citizen Leadership Academy about possible transit solutions. The Williamson Source mentioned the company in another article about the I-24 Smart Corridor Initiative.

Clarksville Online mentioned Bell and Associates Construction [Darek Bell] in an article about replacing and rehabilitating bridges along I-24. Darek Bell was quoted in the Nashville Business Journal about the growth of Corsair Distillery.

The Nashville Post cited Civil Site Design Group [Kevin Gangaware] for its land-planning efforts for the new Lifestyle Communities mixed-use buildings on Third Avenue in Germantown.

Edley’s Bar-B-Que [Will Newman] was featured in a Nooga.com series on date-night dining.
